Rehearsal Attendance Guidelines

We should all aim to attend all rehearsals planned for each concert.

If you are going to miss a rehearsal please send your apologies to Chris Bowles our membership secretary (membership@ealingchoralsociety.org.uk), as soon as possible, so that he is aware.

If you miss a rehearsal, please make sure that you obtain the score markings you have missed from someone in your voice part, and also try to cover the repertoire missed through private practice at home. Everyone should mark up their scores in pencil with Peter’s directions, so please have a pencil with you at each rehearsal.

There are circumstances when missing a rehearsal is unavoidable, but we ask that you miss no more than 2 rehearsals for each concert (and no more than 1 rehearsal for the Christmas Carol concert).

If you are concerned that you have been / may be absent for more than 2 rehearsals, please contact Chris Bowles in the first instance. (NB Peter has requested that Members let Chris know, rather than speak to or contact himself directly).

Chris will discuss with Peter any members who have this issue.  Peter will use his discretion and give due consideration as to who can perform in the concert with more that 2 missed rehearsals.
